MOSKEETO was founded 25 years ago, in 1998, as an agency for „buzz marketing“ – hence the name. Now it is a consultancy for marketing growth.

Moskeeto develops strategies for marketing, communications, media and retail. The founder of Moskeeto, Dr. Peter Petermann has more than 30 years of experience in strategy development and consulting. Peter has broad and deep expertise in creative communication strategies, marketing planning, branding and media with a specific focus on digital transformation, e-commerce and branding based on neuro-psychology.. He has worked in creative and media agencies both in Europe, the US and in China.

Peter began his career in 1992 in his home-town Hamburg, where he started as a strategist for boutique agency Scholz & Friends. After several roles as lead strategist in renowned creative agencies in Germany and abroad, he joined Aegis Media in 2006. For 10 years he spearheaded the network’s transformation from media planning to full-service comms consultancy, as CSO both for Carat Germany as well as for Dentsu Aegis in the DACH region and Central & Eastern Europe.

In 2016, he joined MediaCom China as CSO with a remit to innovate traditional marketing approaches, particularly with respect to digital media, emerging platforms and e-commerce. He returned from China to Düsseldorf early in 2019 to work as a freelance consultant for media, marketing and New Business and briefly worked as CSO for WPP media agency Wavemaker.

In the summer of 2021, he relocated to Zurich to join Wunderman Thompson, the most awared ad agency in Switzerland as their Head of Strategy. In that role, he designed and headed a bespoke WPP agency for one of Switzerland’s largest specialty retailer, MFM (part of Migros).  

He received his PhD in Philospohy from Washington University in Saint Louis, USA in 1991 and has since then regularly proven his thought leadership by publishing White Papers and delivering industry keynotes. His papers on Artficial Intelligence in Media and the Most Inspiring Brands in Switzerland won the highly prestigious Atticus Award for Original Thinking 2018 and 2022. In 2021 he published „Marke und Gedächtnis“, a book about neuroscience and advertising effectiveness.
