Dr. Peter Petermann has over 25 years of advertising and strategic planning experience both in creative and media agencies in Europe, the US and China.
Peter works as an independent consultant for Strategy, Marketing and Advertising with a specific focus on digital transformation, e-commerce and branding.
From 2006, he spent 10 years as CSO for Carat Germany and Dentsu Aegis in Central & Eastern Europe where he spear-headed the agency's transformation from media planning to full-service comms
In 2016, he joined MediaCom China as CSO with a remit to innovate traditional marketing approaches, particularly with respect to digital media, emerging platforms and e-commerce. He returned from China to Düsseldorf early in 2019 to work as a freelance consultant for media, marketing and New Business. In the summer of 2021, he relocated to Zurich to join WundermanThompson, the most awared ad agency in Switzerland.
He regularly proves thought leadership by publishing White Papers and delivering industry keynotes. His paper on Artficial Intelligence in Media won the highly prestigious Atticus Award for Original Thinking 2018. In 2021 he published "Marke und Gedächtnis", a book about neuroscience and advertising effectiveness.
